How Kybella works

Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into submental fat, it destroys the cell membrane of fat cells, which are then naturally cleared by the body over 4–6 weeks. The results are permanent — those cells are gone.

Adults with moderate submental fullness ("double chin")
Bothered by the appearance but not ready for surgery
Realistic expectations — Kybella treats fat, not skin laxity. Significant loose skin may need surgical tightening.
