Medical dermatology
A personalized acne plan from a dermatologist — not a generic over-the-counter routine. Clearer skin in 8–12 weeks for most patients.

Acne is more than a cosmetic problem — untreated, it leaves scars and pigmentation that take years to fade in Hispanic and Caribbean skin. We use prescription-strength retinoids, antibiotics, hormonal therapy, and isotretinoin (when warranted), in combinations the drugstore aisle can't match.
We review what you've tried before, your medical history, and any hormonal patterns. Dr. Puyana then builds a 3-step plan — usually a topical, an oral or hormonal option (when appropriate), and a maintenance routine — and writes it out so you can take it home.
Tropical heat and humidity change which formulations work. Some retinoids feel too harsh, certain antibiotics interact with photo-sensitive lifestyles, and the post-inflammatory marks that linger on richer skin tones need their own treatment plan. We tune each plan accordingly.
